We’re getting ready for Migraine Awareness Month in June and we want you to help raise awareness by telling your story. Become a face of migraine by completing this form

Migraine Australia is creating a book which reflects all the faces of Migraine with a representative from each of the 151 electorates in Australia.

Throughout June we will share the stories all over social media using the hashtag #151facesofmigraine and will encourage you to do the same. All you have to do to be a part of it is tell us your story and upload a photo!

Everyone’s story will go on the website, and we will select a good mix of people at different levels of disability, men, women, parents, kids, working and not working, for the 151 Faces book which we will give to our federal politicians. So no matter where you are on your migraine journey, please let us know your story 💜📸📖

Just fill in the form to submit your #151facesofmigraine entry http://151faces.migraineaustralia.org/betheface/

  • I have suffered from migraines from the age of 10. I am now 61 yrs old. As I have gotten older they have increased in frequency and severity, as many as 5 or 6 a week. I have always woken up with a headache, never a day not to. I had tried all of the tablets to ease and prevent them and I did not have any success with them. My local GP was gave me Pethidine to give to myself at home, then it was taken off the market. At this stage I was getting about 4/5 per week. After the Pethidine, my GP started to give me Morphine for them. My neurologist tried Botox for about 7 years. In December 2018 Aimvoig ,put out a trial for an injection every 28 days. I was having two of these 70mg each of these injections (140mg all up). Now the trial has finished, I am not sure what is going to happen regarding medication, until I see the Neurologist on the 13th June 2020.
