Migraine Australia is a new patient advocacy organisation being founded to support and fight for all Australians living with migraine.
Migraine is a genetic, incurable, spectrum disorder. It is not “just a headache”. Migraine Australia exists because we want migraine to be taken seriously in Australia, recognised as an invisible disability, and given our fair share of funding and services.
We want all Australians living with migraine, whether they have a migraine attack every day, barely one a year, or anything in between, to feel supported and able to live a full and productive life. And, not feel like they have to hide their condition.
Migraine Australia is working on a range of initiatives and projects to make a demonstrable difference to the wellbeing of all Australians living with migraine.
Both our organisation, and this website, are still in the early stages of being set up. Please bear with us while we get things established.
Are you the face of migraine?
June is Migraine Awareness Month, and we want you to tell us your story so we can show that there are many faces of migraine, and highlight one story from each federal electorate in a pitch to our politicians to take migraine seriously. Every story will go on the website. Complete the simple form and upload your photo now!
